Looks a great kit.. have an enjoyable build..
price? with shipping charge?

Any good?.....never heard of them myself.......never mind.....its an Academy tooling .lol
Building it now. Pretty good fit honestly
@@swing.wing_singh awesome....what are the decals like.. ?
Yet to start the painting. The cockpit decals are pretty cool though
did the iaf decals come with the set?
No. The IAF decals were printed by me. The kit has only Soviet Air Force and Aeroflot decals
@@swing.wing_singh how did you print the decals?
You can watch my video on printing my own decals.

What is the black primer? And what thinner do u use for fevicryl
Black primer is a black spray paint from 4S. Thinner is H2O 😉

@@satindersingh3985 Thank you. That was really encouraging. But the kit is pretty simple really.
The perfect Hurricane!!! :) The kit is very good in my humble opinion, and I'm glad you think the same. This is Airfix when Airfix is at its best.. Never thought of using marker pens in that way, but it sure is a quick and efficient method, for sure. You ended up with a very good looking model.. :)

I have 1 of these and used aftermarket decals....i did mine in Irish Air Corps markings....and yes the Irish Air Corps really did use several variations of the Hurricane during "the emergency" as ww2 was called here in Ireland.
@@jaws848 Irish air Corps. Wow. That would have looked cool too.
@swing.wing_singh they flew several variations...im sure if you google it you can find pics of them.....about 15 years ago Airfix did a kit in 1/72 (and i think 1/48) that included an Irish option on the decal sheet

Hey man, do you have any tips for brush painting with fevicryl paints? It doesnt stick to the model like the humbrol ones do.
I plan to do a brush-painters tips with Fevicryl sometime soon
I'm a brush-painter...Awaiting your tips eagerly...😊
will be looking forward to it 😀
White is 1 of the worst /hardest colours to brush paint but very easy to spray paint
That's true.
From where did you bought it? Please reply
The model is built by me from parts. Do you want to know where the kit is available?
How about an Indian Centurion?
Great kit which showcases the fact that pre-partition Indian's formed the bulk of allied forces engaged against the Empire of Japan on the Burma Front Just a question? Why is it titled 'British Commonwealth Occupational Forces, 1944' when no such title existed at that time? being used to describe caretaker forces sent to French Indochina and the Dutch East Indies from 1945 onwards
Have you noticed any issues with the texture or smoothness = spray paints? Do the details still come through well?
love from sri lanka
Giant plane and fantastic build. Kudos!
Just an amazing build. It is quite common with the case of such models like P-38, B-24 Liberator, B-25 Mitchell to be habitual tail-sitters. Its from my experience through, as I had built the B-25 in the past. But, anyhow its a modeller's true skills and technical expertise that comes into paly at solving such situations, which you have done amazingly. 😊🤗👍
Wonderful and precise build..!!! It was a relief to learn that you managed the nose weight on this "tail sitter" ....60 grams...wow.... About a month back, I sent you pictures of my P 38 build to your e-mail. Maybe, it went into your junk folder.... I believe the Pacific theatre(Guadalcanal) units of the US Air Corps were all meant for high speed interception and not for ground attack. Hence, no pylons/pods were in place for bombs or rockets.... All in all....Great work...!!!!
Excellent build, great work. The reason why you couldn’t find instructions for the rockets is due to this variant of the P-38 not being able to carry them. Later variants carried the “Christmas tree” rocket pylons. Keep up the great work.
This one was the best build yet so nicely clean and smooth surface i can tell u r very proud of this one. I m also building model sanding nubs and making plastic smooth is hard as i m not painting. I will apply decals once my solution arrives from ebay. Which top coat would u recommend?
I've used various stuff as top coat. Daler Rowney gloss varnish is good, humbrol gloss varnish is also fine
Also how many layers did u apply for olive drap color
3 thin coats
Whats your thinner ratio for the blsck color
Just a dab of black in half an airbrush cup of pre thinned sap green
Excellent work..!
Thank you
❤amazing swing from iaf to the us air force
It will soon be a reverse swing back to IAF 😆
Looks fine but i feel like your recent builds are made in a rush. The previous videos and builds were more clean.
Great build! The engine with the added wires looks impressive. I had the same problem with the engine and the fuselage - I wanted the cowling closed, so I just left the engine out. The undercarriage doesn’t look right. The legs should slope forward a bit. Is it possible that you have the legs reversed - i.e. the right leg on the left side and vice versa? I’m looking forward to your next video.
Which silver pasint is that
Kobe Bright Chrome
Are those bandai sanding sticks
NO. Normal nail filers/buffers
Always so glad to see your videos. I waited to ask you about painting matt white. For so long i have even entered decalling and top coating steps. But now i want to know your process of painting white. Like colors u use for white and how to make sure paint sticks to the plastic.
Just amazing. Waiting to see another exciting build. These are the signature kits of Airfix. I remember, way back in 2011, when I began my build with these airfix kits... 😊
I believe the box image represents combat in the Battle of France. Looking forward to seeing your build.
A very rugged workhorse of the RAF in the late 30s-40s. A bit of history which I can recollect.... Eight Indians were trained as Hurricane fighter pilots and flew in RAF squadrons in the Battle of Britain.. Two noteworthy ones...Mahinder Singh Pujji and H S Malik. Hurricane squadrons were raised in India in June 1942 for the Burma campaign for recon and ground attack. Of particular mention was the 1944 Arakan front where Indian pilots were awarded the DFCs and many mentioned in despatches..ACM Arjan Singh was one....
Very good video. The Hurricane is a beautiful plane, it was The work horse in the Batlle of England fighting by side with The Spitfire against The ME 109 E by The Germans. Enjoy the build , greetings from Portugal 😉👍
I have made 3 of this kit and it is a lovely build so I'm sure you'll have fun. I'm not sure how it could be squeezed into anything relating to D Day though - Mark 1s had long gone by then and the Mark 2 is a notably different shape and even they were only used in secondary duties during the invasion. But, paint anything in the grey/green camo with stripes and it would look right, even if it isn't!
Very nice job ... how much is this model please
Thank you. ₹ 10k please
@swing.wing_singh how much in US DOLLAR
Really amazing, it goes as a real tribute to Sq Ldr Devaiah, with his legacy of his guts and glory. Btw, I'm also a keen viewer of Showtime111. 👌🏻😊
Great build...especially the ejection seat...a history of guts and glory behind this particular jet....I was touched by the pilot's bravery and ultimate sacrifice...Thanks for mentioning Showtime 112....their episodes on the 1965..1971 Indo-Pak air conflict are unbiased and interesting.
Excellent job on the build. And I rather liked the fact there was a story of daring and bravery behind it as well. The models that I choose tend to have a story with them as it makes it so much more interesting. For example there are plenty of second world war destroyers, but HMS Campbeltown has an exciting story to go with it so that's the one I got.
I want to buy this
Always good that you give a kit an even review. Some won't touch a kit unless it's a Hasegawa or Tamiya offering. I've always found Academy kits very good builds. Look forward to the build video.
Great job. Cool to see other air forces being built. Have fun my friend. Bill
Thanks Bill.
I also grew up with Commando comics and unlike you we had access to lots of Commando comics in Poona as it was known then.
Nice. Good to know. These were really interesting and addictive reads. I think by the time I got access to them they were almost gone from Indian markets. Still I was lucky I got around 40-50 of them. They were initially priced at Rs.5 and over the years I read them their prices went up to Rs.12.5 and then Rs.25. The last I bought costed Rs.30
Agree...these comics were freely available till the late 60s, when I was about 10 yrs old, mostly second hand ones left over by the British or in second hand book stores or some libraries. Mostly, I realise now, it was Allied propaganda ...Germans were called "kraut" or "jerry". Don't remember much except""bandits....6'00 clock""...They almost vanished in the 90s...the last ones...moldy and moth eaten , were recovered by me, for my son, from an old books junk dealer from the market opposite the then Super Bazar in Con Place, Delhi.
Bye the bye ......I built one P 38 in 1/72 scale....requires a lot of lead shot in the nose...it's a real tail-sitter...
Yes agreed it was allied propaganda but then my first introduction to military, war, fighter aircraft and aircraft in general was through these comics. It's great you were able to recover some. I lost all of em. Never realized 30 years later I'd miss em. They were good reads though for a 10 year old
Will keep that in mind. Thanks for the advise. Though I usually as a rule of thumb, always put weights in all my models
Did you make one in the original 1980s camo? I’m quite fond of those first batch Jags
Those Jags were amazing. I've seen them and sat in them too. I made one couple years back but didn't have a video for it. It's on my remake wishlist along with the camo MiG-27 and MiG-23BN
Excellent work there. It did seem like a challenging build but you managed it well.
